The Advanced Rotavalve Distribution is a bidirectional valve with 13 ports (12 to 1), built for switching flow direction. With no dead volume and among the fastest speeds available on the market, the Rotavalve is the key ingredient for an efficient sequential injection system.

Its compact form factor, its robust casing and its fixation points make it ideal for mechanical integration.

Its high speed serial connection is compatible with both any serial controllers and the Advanced Control Center for large and complex microfluidic systems.

What is the typical set of instruments for a sequential injection experiment?

Combined with an Advanced Pressure Controller and a Control Center, the Rotavalve Distribution allows the sequential injection of multiple reagents. Using the capabilities of the Control Center, wide options for automation are available. Adding a MFS flow sensor in the system allows to control the flow rate with great accuracy.

The Rotavalve Distribution is a powerful device for a wide number of applications. Among others, it is ideal to automatize and speed up the testing of multiple drugs for applications in pharmacogenomics and precision medicine or to easily switch medium for cell culture applications. Used with organ-on-a-chip models, it ensures smooth and stable drug administration for optimized results.

We do not recommend the use of solutions containing suspended particles with the Rotavalve Distribution as this can lead to leaks at the valve head. We recommend filtering solutions with 10µm filters.

Installation of the Rotavalve in a more complete prototype is facilitated thanks to its own fixation points. The module can then be held in position and no preferred mounting orientation is necessary, ensuring a high degree of freedom.
