Cutting-edge microfluidic flow controller for nano liquid chromatography
Nano liquid chromatography is a powerful technique that enables the separation, identification, and quantification of complex mixtures of molecules. The technique utilizes a microfluidic channel filled with small beads, typically below 5 µm. Firstly, the sample is precisely injected onto the stationary phase (consisting of the beads), followed by the injection of a mobile phase solvent at a low flow rate, typically in the range of nano liters per minute. By flowing the solvent, the molecules are sequentially eluted from the beads, based on their differential interactions with the stationary phase. The molecules are detected at the outlet of the microfluidic chip using a UV detector or mass spectrometry. Precise control over the pressure applied to the sample and mobile phase is essential to ensure optimal performance. The OB1 MK4 flow controller is the ideal instrument for precise and accurate flow control. Contact our team of experts to find out the best configuration for your setup.
Customizable & upgradable solution for large number of samples.
The OB1 MK4 flow controller is a versatile instrument that can be fully customized to meet your specific experimental needs. With two independent channels, you can simultaneously flow two different liquids, with each pressure individually controlled. Should you need to run multiple nanoLC experiments with the same sample, you only need to split your pressure into the number of individual samples.
To further tailor the flow controller to your needs, the pressure range for each individual outlet can be configured within a range of -1 bar to 8 bar. Our team of experts is available to help you determine the best configuration and number of pressure outlets required for your experiment.
Control the flow rate and the pressure going through your stationary phase
To achieve high sensitivity and resolution in your nano liquid chromatography experiments, fine control over the flow rate is crucial. By utilizing ultra-low flow rates, molecules can be effectively separated, and low-abundance compounds can be detected. To have full control of your experiment, the OB1 MK4 can be connected to a flow rate sensor (MFS) or our premium Coriolis flow sensor (BFS, for both liquid and gas, calibration-free). With a feedback loop between the flow controller and the sensor, a highly stable flow rate can be achieved throughout the experiment.
Our user-friendly software allows for intuitive control of the flow rate, enabling the precise regulation of reagent flow through the stationary phase. Automated experiments can be effortlessly performed by creating a sequence of instructions using our sequencer. Additionally, our MUX distribution valve facilitates the sequential running of multiple samples, with the entire process fully automated. For advanced users, SDK libraries allow for complete customization of the OB1 MK4, enabling it to be integrated with other instruments.
By utilizing our advanced flow control solutions, you can save time and money while obtaining highly consistent results in your chromatography experiments. Our team of experts is readily available to help you determine the optimal configuration for your specific needs.
