This summer, we’re mixing science with a bit of fun!
Inspired by the flows we work with every day in the lab, we created a personality quiz that asks: what kind of flow are you?
Are you steady and reliable like laminar flow?
Or maybe you thrive in organized chaos?
Answer a few very scientific questions, and find out which flow best matches your vibe!
In a busy market, how do you deal with the crowd?
A – Sit at a bar and watch people go past
B – Move with the direction of flow
C – First establish if there is an intended direction by locating the entrance and exit
D – Push through in the opposite direction to get where I am going
You spot the outdoor pool at the hotel. Will you go for a swim?
A – I choose to relax in the spa instead
B – Ah, it’s fine if the pool is 18-28°C
C – Measure the temperature and ask the staff to first adjust if not ideal
D – Will go swim in the ocean instead, who needs a pool?
How do you handle pressure?
A – Go to a patio for a beer, keep it low key
B – Let’s tackle it head on and adapt to the next challenge
C – I gather the best talents and a plan to work together
D – Go to karaoke and sing loudly
How do you like your chips?
A – Plain, smooth cut (the all-purpose chip!)
B – Crinkle cut, any seasoning (better attachment of sauces!)
C – Cheesy tube shaped (vessels rule!)
D – Crushed always gives the best crunch to a sandwich!
More A – Laminar
You are the steady force in the lab. You are dependable, calm and logical.
More B – Pulsatile
You are adaptable to any situation. You are always ready to step up to the task and your versatility is an asset.
More C – Heartbeat
You are the heartbeat of the lab. You manage all tasks with high efficiency and the best use of resources.
More D – Chaotic
You are dynamic, always on the move and provide the spark in a brainstorming session! Although you are rather turbulent, what are you doing with microfluidics? 😉
Thanks for Playing!
Whether you’re a Laminar thinker or a full-on Chaotic spark, we hope you enjoyed discovering your flow.
Microfluidics might be precise, but summer is all about going with it, wherever it leads.
Have a great summer break, and stay curious!
