Microfluidic Sleeves are basically diameter size adapters consisting in small pieces of tubing in which a smaller tubing is inserted. In order for small OD tubings to be compatible with fittings designed for larger OD sizes, microfluidic sleeves can be very helpful. The aim is to increase the OD of the inserted tubing to make it fit properly into a receiving port designed for larger tubing, e.g. when working with 1/32 OD microfluidic cappillary tubing and 1/4″-28 threaded connectors designed for 1/16 OD tubing.
